905-054 is a turkey hunting vest with a 25 L backpack built into the back panel and a detachable 5 cm seat cushion built into the waist. It exists for one kind of hunt: arriving before first light, sitting against a hardwood trunk for three hours, and calling a bird in without standing up to reach for anything.

The vest carries the calls in front where the hands already are — six dedicated pockets for mouth calls, strikers, a box call, a slate, a rangefinder and a mosquito repeller — and carries the rest of the day behind the shoulders in a structured 25 L pack with a hydration sleeve. Shell is a three-layer laminate: silent brushed tricot face, TPU membrane, 300D ripstop backing. Complete system weight is 1.52 kg.

Three components ship together and separate in seconds: vest, pack, cushion. That matters for the hunter who drives to a gate, walks a mile, then sits — the pack comes off without stripping the calls, and the cushion comes off without unpacking the bag.

01  Quiet Fabric: Brushed Tricot Over a Membrane

A brushed tricot face cuts roughly 30% of the rustle a plain nylon shell makes when a shoulder shifts against bark — which is the noise that ends most sits. Underneath sits a TPU membrane for weather, and a 300D ripstop polyester grid carries the load so the soft face never has to. Laboratory batch figures: 1,894 N warp / 1,482 N weft tensile (ISO 13934-1), 156.8 N / 151.0 N tear (ISO 13937-2), 2.1 mm seam slippage at 100 N (ISO 13936-2), pilling grade 4 through 5,000 cycles (ISO 12945-2), light fastness grade 6 (ISO 105-B02), and spray rating grade 4 (ISO 4920) from the factory DWR finish.

02  Call Layout: Six Pockets in the Order You Use Them

Pockets are placed by sequence, not by symmetry. Left chest: mosquito repeller in a magnetic pocket, then the mouth-call and diaphragm holder, then the striker slots — the calls that never leave the body. Right chest: rangefinder pocket with a quiet open top, box call in a magnetic-closure pocket that will not rattle when the vest is laid flat, and a padded slate pocket that protects a pot call surface from a striker knocking against it in transit. Every closure is either magnet or quiet-pull; nothing on the front panel uses hook-and-loop.

03  Seat and Water: Sit Anywhere, Drink Without Standing

The cushion is 5 cm of closed-cell foam on a 38 × 25 cm panel, hung from the waist on a quick-release buckle. Pop it off, drop it at the base of a tree, sit — no inflating, no unfolding, no cold ground wicking through. The pack's hydration sleeve holds a 3 L bladder or smaller against the back panel, with a hanger hook at the top and a tube port at the shoulder, so a drink is a tilt of the head rather than a reach into a bag.
